SmartLynx Airlines is recognized as a "Family-friendly workplace"

SmartLynx Airlines has received the “Family-friendly workplace” award from the Society Integration Fund (SIF). The status is given to companies that value and support employees’ family and well-being needs by implementing family-friendly business principles. The recognition is not only based on compliance with the requirements established by legislation, but also on any additional initiatives that reduce the tension that often exists between work and family. 

“We appreciate and nurture our talents, including working parents, and we would never want them to choose between their career and family. I believe that positive company culture shouldn't stop with the employee, thus a family-friendly employer nowadays is essential. I`m proud that our efforts to create a supportive and inclusive work environment both for our employees and their families have been noticed, and we will keep working to positively impact our employees` ability to integrate work and family life needs,” says Mara Steinberga, Chief of People and Culture at SmartLynx Airlines.

SmartLynx Airlines, in addition to social guarantees and advanced health insurance, offer a range of benefits and support for working parents, for example, flexible working hours and the possibility to work in a hybrid model or completely remotely, if the specifics of the job allow it. Every day a free lunch is provided for all office employees, so there is no need to worry about preparing lunch at home after work. Also, kids are welcome at the office and can use the activity room with toys and games for different ages.

In order to promote the creation of an inclusive society and a family-friendly work environment, the state program "Family-friendly workplace" implemented by the Society Integration Fund (SIF) was launched in 2021. So far, 150 organizations, including SmartLynx Airlines, have already obtained the status of a family-friendly workplace.
